The town of Laurens is a preservationists dream. People living in Laurens county take pride in preserving and restoring the old homes within their neighborhoods. One such home is the Charles H. Duckett House, which served as the home of a prominent African-American businessman from Laurens. Lillie Williams-Timms, founder and president of the African-American Historical Foundation, joins to discuss the history of this home, and restoration efforts.
