Pine Forest - The forest, once dominated by hardwood trees, is now populated with mostly pine trees. Sassafras is one of the few species of hardwood trees remaining in the forest. Wild Plum trees attract a variety of insects, and American Holly is a common species of plant found in the Southeastern U.S.
