Fort Mill, Part 4 - Elliot White Springs | Palmetto Places

Kaltura

Following the death of Leroy Springs in 1931, Springs Industries entered into a 28 year era, overseen by Elliot White Springs, still know today as “The Colonel.” After assuming the presidency of five smaller mills, he incorporated them all under the name of Springs Cotton Mills, and through daring and brilliance, led it to become one of the world’s most innovative textile manufacturers.

Joanna Angle and Bob Thompson give a brief biography of this prominent Fort Mill figure.
