Edisto State Park is a popular tourist attraction for South Carolinians. Its two and a half mile beach is considered one of the state’s best for swimming, collecting shells, fishing, and camping, among other outdoor activities. The live oak trees living in Edisto, and around the Lowcountry area, are a prominent symbol of this region.
