Eddie “Crying Elk” King is a member of the Sioux/Lakota Native American tribe. He talks about how he and his family had to adjust to the “white man’s” way of life. To kind of balance things out, Eddie, along with many other Native Americans, regularly attend pow-wows. These pow-wows not only give Native Americans an opportunity to meet, but they also serve to honor their ancestors, remember the old ways, and to keep traditions alive through dances, bon-fires, and art.
