Doolittle Raiders 50th Anniversary Reunion | 27:Fifty

Kaltura

The B-25 "Mitchell" was a multi-role bomber used during World War II. Less than five months after the attack at Pearl Harbor, Lieutenant Colonel James "Jimmy" Doolittle led a squadron of sixteen B-25 bombers to attack the main Japanese islands.  Fifty years later, the remaining airmen who flew the Doolittle Raid over Tokyo held their 50th anniversary reunion in Columbia, South Carolina. They celebrated with re-enactments, and the segment also features a brief documentary about the mission.
