Chester, Part 4 - Chester State Park And Landsford Canal State Park | Palmetto Places - Episode 4

Kaltura

Chester State Park features camp grounds, picnic areas, hiking trails, boat rentals, and a place to fish.  Joanna Angle then details the history of Landsford Canal State Park. Designed by Robert Mills, he built a series of canals for flat-boat traveling, but was abandoned not long after completion, since railroad travel was deemed much faster.  Today, Landsford Canal is part of a 222 acre park, featuring walking trails, picnic areas, a rentable antique log cabin, and life-sized tree carvings.
