Neon signs have been have a staple of business owners for decades; drawing in customers from near and afar. Meet Bill Vertrees, a neon glass artist who has been in the business of crafting neon signs since the 1940's. Bill talks about how he got into the business of making neon signs, and delves a little into how neon signs are made. Bill recalls that back in the 1950’s, neon signs were everywhere, until the eventual replacement with large, lit plastic signs.
