USC- Lancaster Archaeology Instructor Chris Judge discovers some artifacts.The Kolb site is located in the Great Pee Dee Heritage Preserve in Darlington County South Carolina. The site lies on a cutoff channel of the Great Pee Dee River. This meander was cut off by a land owner in the 1870’s, not by natural forces , so for most of its history it was on the main river channel.
