Join host Jim Welch as he takes viewers on a tour around Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia. Colonial Williamsburg is a living history museum, which showcases the colonial period in early U.S. history. At Bill’s Pickin’ Parlor, in Columbia, South Carolina, every Saturday, patrons can come to create “Bluegrass Jam Sessions.” Bill Wells talks about how his Pickin’ Parlor came to be, and his passion for bluegrass music. A trip through Francis Beidler Forest and an up-close look at its wild creatures. The National Audubon Society and the Nature Conservancy teamed up to preserve about six-thousand acres. The Forest contains the largest remaining virgin stand of bald cypress and tupelo gum trees in the world. It is managed by the National Audubon Society.
