Eurytides marcellus
• Also known as Kite Swallowtail
• Shows great seasonal variation
• Early spring - small with short wings, short tails, and restricted dark and extensive light markings
• Late spring - larger with longer wings, somewhat heavier markings and more white on tail tips
• Summer - much larger with longer wings, longer tails and much more white, heavy dark and restricted light and red markings
• Has an extremely long tail, and flies in a curious bat-like fashion
• Adults feed on nectar and puddling
• Red stripe under wings
• Zebra-like markings
• Are usually near Pawpaw trees; they lay eggs on the Pawpaw leaves
• Habitats include open, moist woods
