• Sometimes called "Jasamer" in SC
• Other common names include Woodbine, Carolina, Evening Trumpet Flower
• State flower of South Carolina
• Native plant
• Woody climbing vine with pleasant fragrance
• Delicate funnel-shaped yellow flowers grow to an inch in diameter
• Evergreen leaves
• Tubular flowers
• Poisonous to eat, not to touch
• Habitats include dry thickets, dry woods and sandy areas
