Mr. Ronnie Simmons is from Clinton, South Carolina. He is a guitarist and singer currently residing in Anderson County. He learned to play the guitar at age fourteen alongside his cousin. Together, they taught themselves how to play chords from a book and eventually could play by ear. The community he lived in was very conducive to learning to play country music so he also learned by hearing others play. He has passed his knowledge to both of his sons, teaching them how to play over the past ten years. He has performed at the Rocky Bottom School in the past and continues to play for his friends and family at home. He is associated with the main branch of the Anderson County Library as well as West-side High School.
