TAKE ON THE SOUTH is a series of one-hour produced by the South Carolina Educational Television network for the University of South Carolina's Institute for Southern Studies (ISS) under a grant provided by Watson-Brown Foundation, Inc. Dr. Walter Edgar, Dr. Trudier Harris, Distinguished Professor, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, and Dr. Noel Polk, Professor Emeritus, Mississippi State University, debate which Southern novel has been the most influential.
