Miriam Barbosa is Artistic Director of South Carolina Contemporary Dance Company. She received her classical training and earned her MFA from the University of Fine Arts at Sao Paulo, Brazil. She is a former member of the Martha Graham Dance Company and a former USC Assistant Professor of Dance. She founded the SC School of Contemporary Dance as a Division of SCCDC, established in 2007 as a non-profit organization.
